Pramod Rana

Head - Water Operations

Affectionately known as Netaji within the Live360 inner circle, Pramod Rana is the true embodiment of leadership, loyalty, and unwavering calm in the chaos of the outdoors. A native of the river-rich hills of Garhwal Uttarakhand, Rana brings over two decades of experience navigating the wild waters and managing complex expedition environments. His nickname isn’t just a fun moniker—it’s a reflection of his natural command, reliability, and deep commitment to his team and every participant under his watch.

One of India’s finest and most respected raft guides, Rana has run nearly every major river in the country—from the roaring Zanskar to the turbulent Teesta, and everything in between. His expertise is not confined to rafting alone; he has a vast, hands-on understanding of water sports, logistics, and remote camp management. Whether it’s setting up a high-altitude alpine camp or building an off-grid river base from scratch, Rana excels in making it operational, safe, and comfortable with minimal resources and maximum efficiency.

His ability to run large, high-risk expeditions—including multi-day rafting missions, film and documentary shoots, and immersive experiential learning programs for youth—makes him a rare asset in the Indian adventure community. Behind every successful expedition that involves water or wilderness logistics, there’s a strong chance Rana’s steady hands and sharp mind were at play.

Yet, for all his professionalism and grit, it’s his joyous personality and ever-smiling face that people remember most. Rana radiates warmth, humour, and positivity. He has an uncanny ability to make people feel at ease, even in the most rugged conditions. His spirit uplifts entire teams, and his presence on an expedition often becomes the emotional anchor for both crew and clients.

A remarkable camp manager, dependable team leader, and heart of the river, Pramod Rana stands tall as one of the foundational strengths of Live360 Adventures. His journey from the rivers of Uttarakhand to becoming a key figure in Indian water-based expeditions is not just inspiring—it’s a testament to what dedication, humility, and passion can achieve.
